Download the VMWare Horizon Client installer For Mac OS 10.12 – 10.15 by clicking here. Mac OS versions older than 10.12 are not supported. Double click on the VMware Horizon Client.dmg file to begin the install. Click “Agree” in the user license agreement window that appears. Download VMware Horizon Clients. Select Version: 5.0. VMware Horizon Clients for Windows, Mac, iOS, Linux, Chrome and Android allow you to connect to your VMware Horizon virtual desktop from your device of choice giving you on-the-go access from any location. If you plan to use the RDP display protocol to connect to a remote desktop, verify that the Mac client system has Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac from Microsoft, version 2.0 or later installed. What is VMware Horizon Client?
VMware Horizon Clients for Windows, macOS, iOS, Linux, and Android allow you to connect to CT5 from your device of choice giving you on-the-go access from any location.
Windows
- Go to the VMware Horizon Client download page.
- Look for VMware Horizon Client for Windows and select Go to Downloads.
- Select Download.
- After the file is downloaded, open and click I Agree & Install.
- After the installation is complete, click Finish.
- Click Yes to restart your system.
- After restart, open VMware Horizon Client.
- Click Add Server.
- When asked for the Connection Server, enter https://view.circuitree.com and then click Connect.
- Enter your username and password and click Login.
- The CircuiTree App will appear. Double click to open.

Disable Full Screen Mode
By default, CT5 will open in full screen. To adjust that setting, follow these steps:
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right hand corner to open settings.
- Under CircuiTree App > Display, select Window – Large and then click OK.
- Double click to open the CircuiTree App.
Vmware Horizon Client For Macbook
macOS
- Go to the VMware Horizon Client download page.
- Look for VMware Horizon Client for Mac and select Go to Downloads
- Select Download.
- After the file is downloaded, open and click Agree.
- Drag VMware Horizon Client to the Application folder.
- Open VMware Horizon Client.
- When asked for the Connection Server, enter https://view.circuitree.com and click Connect.
- Enter your username and password and click Login.
- The CircuiTree App will appear. Double Click to open.
Disable Full Screen Mode
By default, CT5 will open in full screen. To adjust that setting, follow these steps:
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right hand corner.
- Under Full Screen, select Use Single Display and then close the window.
- Double click to open the CircuiTree App.
- The app will open, move your mouse to the top of the screen and wait for 5 seconds for the menu bar to appear. Go to Window and uncheck Enter Full Screen.
Troubleshooting
Blank Screen on macOS
If you have recently upgraded to macOS Mojave and are experiencing a blank screen when using VMware to access CT5, you need to upgrade your version of VMware. Follow these steps to download VMware version 4.9 or greater.
Black Screen
If you encounter a black screen and are not able to access CT5, follow these steps.
Windows
- In the toolbar, click on Options > Disconnect and Log Off.
- Once you are logged off, Open up CircuiTree App to launch CT5.
Install Vmware Horizon Client
Mac
- In the toolbar, click on Connection > Log Off.
- Once you are logged off, open up CircuiTree App to launch CT5.
End users open Horizon Client to connect to remote desktops and applications from a Mac physical machine. You install Horizon Client on Mac client systems from a disk image file.
Vmware Horizon Client 5.1.0 Download
- Verify that the client system uses a supported operating system. See System Requirements for Mac Clients.
- Verify that you can log in as an administrator on the client system.
- If you plan to use the RDP display protocol to connect to a remote desktop, verify that the Mac client system has Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac from Microsoft, version 2.0 or later installed.
- Verify that you have the URL for a download page that contains the Horizon Client installer. This URL might be the VMware Downloads page at http://www.vmware.com/go/viewclients, or it might be the URL for a Connection Server instance.
Procedure
- From your Mac, browse to the URL for downloading the Horizon Client installer file. The file name format is VMware-Horizon-Client-y.y.y-xxxxxx.dmg. xxxxxx is the build number and y.y.y is the version number.
- Double-click the .dmg file to open it and click Agree. The contents of the disk image appear in a Horizon Client Finder window.
- In the Finder window, drag the VMware Horizon Client icon to the Applications folder icon. If you are not logged in as an administrator user, you are prompted for an administrator user name and password.
Start Horizon Client and verify that you can connect to a remote desktop or application. See Connect to a Remote Desktop or Application.
